FTCCI Organises Awareness Program on Preventive Health & Food Safety; Conducts FoSTaC Training & Free Health Check–up Camp
Hyderabad, 6th June 2025: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) organised a comprehensive Awareness Program on Preventive Health & Food Safety, along with FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification) training and a Free Health Check–up Camp, at Federation House, Red Hills, Hyderabad.
The event was supported by KFC India under its CSR initiative SAHYOG, and attracted over 300 food vendors, professionals, and stakeholders from across Telangana.
Dr. Suresh Singhal, President, FTCCI, inaugurated the program. The theme address was delivered by Mr. Shekhar Agarwal, Convener, FTCCI Healthcare Committee, and a special address by Dr. Aman Gupta, National Head – Corporate Affairs, Yum Brands India.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Moksh Chopra, General Manager – KFC India & Partner Countries, reaffirmed KFC’s commitment to food hygiene and vendor training.
In his keynote address, Shri Anuraag Jayanti, IAS, Zonal Commissioner, GHMC, stressed the need for a collaborative approach to food safety, remarking:
“One agency alone cannot handle the responsibility of food safety. It must be a collective effort involving government, industry, civil society, and the community under a robust PPP model. We are working towards expanding food testing labs to ensure better urban and rural coverage.”
The technical sessions, moderated by Dr. Aman Gupta, included a virtual address by Mr. Aman Lal, Chief People Officer – KFC India & Partner Countries.

The FoSTaC Training was conducted in two dedicated sessions, followed by a Business Training Module and concluded with a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for all trained participants.
Vision 2030 – Free Health Check–up Camp Draws 400+ Participants
Aligned with FTCCI’s Vision 2030, a Free Health Check–up Camp was also held as part of the wellness drive. The camp, inaugurated by Shri Anuraag Jayanti, IAS, saw over 400 participants, including members, food vendors, staff, and the general public.
Supported by 30 healthcare professionals from Medicover Hospital, Smara Dental, and the Central Blood Bank, the camp offered:
- General Health Consultations
- Eye Screenings
- Dental and Gynaecology Check-ups
- Free diagnostics: Blood Pressure, Sugar, ECG, BMI
- A Blood Donation Drive witnessed enthusiastic participation.
Educating for a Healthier Future
An Awareness Session on Preventive Health & Food Safety was conducted under the “Safe Food for All” campaign, equipping attendees with knowledge on hygiene practices and healthy living.
“Efforts like these strengthen community health. Preventive care and food safety must be collective responsibilities,” reiterated Shri Anuraag Jayanti during his inaugural address.
The initiative reflects FTCCI’s ongoing commitment to building a healthier, safer Telangana under its Vision 2030 mission, in partnership with public institutions and private stakeholders.
