“The India–UK Free Trade Agreement marks a significant turning point in global trade—strengthening economic ties between the two nations while unlocking immense potential for job creation and skilled talent mobility. As businesses expand across borders, we expect a surge in demand for professionals in high-growth sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and digital services.

Under the agreement, India will reduce tariffs on 90% of UK imports, while the UK commits to eliminating duties on 99% of Indian exports. This is set to impact a range of industries including textiles, leather, footwear, engineering products, automotive components, and organic chemicals, creating new opportunities for businesses and workers alike.

We foresee increased cross-border mobility for professionals across several domains, particularly in advanced digital fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. In fact, demand for specialized roles in AI/ML, cybersecurity, and data analytics is projected to grow by 10–15% over the next two quarters, driven by this agreement.

Beyond trade, this deal serves as a strategic boost for India’s standing as a global technology and services hub, while giving the UK greater access to highly skilled talent and digital innovation from India. This is more than a trade agreement—it’s a foundation for long-term collaboration, innovation, and shared prosperity.”
