Bengaluru, Apr 27: Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, Bengaluru, part of the Fortis Healthcare Network, launched the ‘HEAL Health Card’—a collaborative initiative aimed at improving access to affordable and quality healthcare.

Gleneagles BGS Hospital Launches HEAL Health Card to Make Healthcare More Accessible

The launch was part of the broader HEAL Program (Healthcare Excellence through Access & Learning), which brought together nursing home owners and doctors to strengthen clinical partnerships, enable continuous learning, and enhance patient outcomes through better coordination and access.

The initiative is designed to support not only patients, but also doctors, hospital staff, and the wider healthcare ecosystem by improving access to consultations, diagnostics, and essential services. It aims to make hospital services more accessible, affordable, and seamless for individuals and families while fostering a more connected care environment.

Under the HEAL Health Card, patients receive a range of benefits such as easier access to doctors, faster services, and continued care support, including discounts on consultations and emergency services. It also includes offers on health check-up packages, along with complimentary second opinions for select specialties, nutritional consultations, and mental health consultations—supporting overall well-being.

The programme also strengthens clinical capabilities by enabling doctors and hospital teams with access to structured training and super-specialty expertise from Fortis experts, including:

  • •BLS, ALS
  • •Infection Prevention & Control
  • •Biomedical Waste Management
  • •Hand Hygiene Practices
  • •Hazardous Materials Handling
  • •ECG Reading
  • •Crash Cart Training
  • •Stroke Recognition & Early Management (FAST Assessment, Golden Hour Management)
  • •Trauma First Response

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Asik Das, Regional Sales and Marketing Head, Fortis Healthcare, said,

“Access to quality healthcare should be simple and within reach for everyone. At the same time, doctors and hospital teams need the right support to deliver timely and effective care. With the HEAL Health Card, we aim to address both. The programme helps doctors and clinics improve decision-making and reduce medical errors, leading to better patient outcomes. It also helps reduce the burden of medical expenses and supports people with timely care. Through this initiative, we aim to build a more efficient, reliable, and patient-focused healthcare system.”

Mr. Ravi Bagali, Chief Operating Officer, Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru, added,

“Today, managing health needs can often feel complex for many people. There is a need for simpler and more organised ways to access care. With the HEAL Health Card, we have brought different healthcare services together under one programme to make the overall experience easier and more structured. This initiative is a step towards improving how care is delivered and making it more convenient for everyone.”

The HEAL Program also encourages preventive healthcare through special health check-ups and continuous patient engagement, enabling individuals to stay proactive about their health rather than seeking care only during illness. With initiatives such as the HEAL Card, dedicated emergency access, and a strong focus on training and coordination, the programme marks a significant step toward building a more connected and patient-centric healthcare ecosystem.
