Ladwa/ New Delhi, May 19 : KNAM Group, through its CSR arm Smt. Krishna Goel Foundation, organized a free eye camp for around 600 citizens at Baba Bansi Wala Vridhaashram in Ladwa, making essential eye care accessible to people in and around the town. Over 150 citizens are scheduled for cataract operations. To ensure continuous care, a dedicated vehicle has been deployed for critical emergencies, alongside the planned installation of lifts at the Baba Bansi Wala Vridhaashram in Ladwa to restore independence and mobility for our beloved elders. Additionally, a fully equipped library is also established at Vridhaashram, creating a supportive learning space where children can study using their own educational materials

The camp was aimed at reaching those who often do not have easy access to basic eye care. Residents from nearby areas came forward for free eye check-ups, and those found to need cataract surgery or other eye-related medical attention were guided for further treatment, including free cataract operations. The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Param Shiv Gaur, MBBS, DOMS, Consultant Eye Surgeon.
For many families, timely eye care can make a meaningful difference, improving not just health but also confidence, independence, and quality of life. The camp reflected KNAM Group’s continued focus on improving access to healthcare where it is needed most.
This was not the Group’s first such outreach initiative. Previous camps have benefited more than 2,500 individuals, highlighting the growing need for accessible and community-driven healthcare support in the region.
“Real community work begins by understanding what people need most. Through this eye camp, the effort was to help families access care that can make a meaningful difference to their lives. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue to bring support, dignity, and relief to those who need it the most,” said Mr. Amit Goel, Founder and Managing Director, KNAM Group.
Alongside its health-related work, KNAM Group is also supporting children from marginalised backgrounds through its ongoing social programmes. At present, more than 500 children are benefiting from these efforts.
In 2025, to celebrate its 15th anniversary, premium Basmati rice miller and exporter KNAM Foods hosted a landmark, week-long community celebration at its flagship plant in Ladwa, Haryana. The event culminated in an unprecedented community feast for 50,000 local members, symbolizing deep gratitude to the town where founder and Managing Director, Mr. Amit Goel was born and raised. This first-of-its-kind initiative in the region served to honor both the local populace and the company's dedicated workforce, fulfilling a long-held dream of driving regional development and employment.
Smt. Krishna Goel Foundation continues to advance its mission of supporting communities through impactful social initiatives. This camp, sponsored by KNAM Foods and supported by Bharat Vikas Parishad, stands as a testament to collaborative efforts towards social welfare and community development. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bharat Vikas Parishad for their valuable contribution in organizing and executing this initiative successfully.
