Oct 11: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Maarga Mind Care organised an awareness and well-being activity at its Gurugram facility, bringing together 50 participants, including RWA members and students. With the aim of promoting mental health awareness, encouraging emotional expression and making conversations around mental well-being more open and stigma-free, Maarga facilitated expert-led creative therapy sessions.
Ms Tanvi Rathor conducted a Mandala art therapy session, complemented by colour-filling activities to help participants improve focus and attention, relieve stress and express emotions creatively. Mr Vishal led a music therapy session, while dance and other interactive therapeutic activities encouraged relaxation, self-expression and social connection.
The programme also included visually guided meditation and ice-breaking activities, creating a safe, non-judgmental space for participants to relax, share everyday stressors and connect with others. Participants responded positively, expressing a desire to engage in such activities regularly and noting that the sessions helped them feel relaxed and concentrate better. Through this initiative, Maarga Mind Care reaffirmed the importance of accessible, community-based mental health engagement in fostering emotional well-being, reducing stigma and building a more supportive and mentally aware community.
