Silent epidemic of NCDs sparks free preventive screening movement across Delhi/NCR

New Delhi, July 7, 2025: In response to the alarming rise in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) across the National Capital Region, Pacific OneHealth, under its CSR initiative, has launched a transformative community health drive — ‘Wellness 4 Delhi/NCR’— aimed at making preventive healthcare more accessible to the masses. Known for redefining patient-first healthcare through innovation and empathy, Pacific OneHealth brings its community-centric vision to life through this impactful social initiative.

The campaign is being implemented by HEAL Foundation, a leading health advocacy organisation, and focuses on offering free preventive health screenings in collaboration with corporate offices, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in South and West Delhi.

Mr Saket Bansal, Founder & Executive Director, Pacific OneHealth, said, “As part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility, we are proud to support the Wellness 4 Delhi/NCR initiative. Our healthcare system often focuses on treatment over prevention, but the real need is to create a culture of early detection and proactive wellness, especially in urban settings where lifestyle diseases are silently escalating. Through this initiative, we are not only offering free screenings but also building awareness, ownership, and accountability for health among citizens. We believe good health should not be a privilege — it must be a shared right.”

The high-impact initiative aims to screen individuals across more than 20 vital metabolic health markers, including SpO2, blood pressure, body fat, waist-hip ratio, and bone mineral content — empowering citizens with early insights into potential health risks, long before symptoms appear.

Dr Swadeep Srivastava, Founder & Chairman, HEAL Foundation, said, “We’re proud to be implementing partners for this meaningful initiative. By offering metabolic screenings at the community level, we are not just checking vitals — we are triggering a mindset shift towards preventive living. Early detection can literally mean adding 20 healthy years to someone’s life. It’s time to make prevention the new prescription in India.”

With lifestyle-related diseases now accounting for over 60% of all deaths in India, the National Capital Region is facing a silent but dangerous surge in undiagnosed conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and obesity-linked complications. The campaign is designed to address this head-on — providing urban residents with practical, preventive tools to better manage their health.

HEAL Foundation’s outreach teams have already begun executing screening drives across multiple locations. The screenings are non-invasive, fast, and accessible, and have already reached a wide cross-section of society — from corporate professionals to elderly residents.

The campaign is open to corporate offices, PSUs, and RWAs, and aims to bridge the gap between health awareness and action in urban India.
