This ancient tradition remains an essential part of Bengal’s rich cultural heritage. Bhoot Chaturdashi is observed before Kali Puja in Bengal and involves by lighting the 14 lamps and eating Choddo Shaak, a dish made with 14 leafy vegetables. These rituals honour ancestors and protect against spirits, symbolising health and spiritual well-being.
