During Q2, GlobalPay received an expanded AD-II authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India under the Foreign Exchange Management (Authorised Persons) Regulations, 2026. The new authorisation allows GlobalPay to undertake both trade and non-trade foreign exchange transactions and appoint Forex Correspondents (FxCs) to conduct money-changing business, subject to applicable RBI guidelines and the terms of its authorisation.
Srikrishna Narasimhan, CEO & Whole-Time Director, GlobalPay, said
“GlobalPay delivered growth in a challenging market marked by foreign exchange volatility, visa uncertainty and subdued discretionary travel. Revenue from operations grew 29% to Rs 67.81 crore in H1 FY27, while Q2 PBT reached Rs 5.33 crore. Our student remittances, B2B distribution, corporate forex and card businesses are supported by the trust of our partners and customers.
The expanded AD-II licence is an important milestone in our ambition to build India’s most trusted cross-border payments platform. In the second half, we will focus on deepening our digital capabilities, expanding our partner network and delivering transparent, accessible global payment solutions, while maintaining strong compliance and risk management.”
GlobalPay advanced its Card Distribution platform, onboarding 22 distribution partners, and is developing Forex Correspondent (FxC) partnerships. Nostro accounts with Banking Circle became operational, with transactions commencing in September and also signed a partnership agreement with Mastercard Move, with API integration for cross border payments. These initiatives support wider distribution and stronger cross-border payment capabilities.
The market outlook remains uneven, with geopolitical uncertainty and evolving visa requirements affecting travel and overseas-education flows. Against this backdrop, GlobalPay is focused on sustaining growth through diversification beyond US student corridors, expansion of corporate forex relationships and scaling of the GlobalPay Card platform, supported by cost discipline and robust risk management.
