25th February 2025:Yashoda Medicity collaborated as the Principal Medical Partner for the 10th edition of the Apollo Tyres New Delhi Marathon 2025, held on February 23, 2025, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The prestigious marathon witnessed over 20,000 runners across multiple race categories, including Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. Themed “Go The Distance,” the event brought together elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts, all pushing their limits in an inspiring display of endurance and determination.
As the official Medical Partner, Yashoda Medicity played a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of all runners, providing seamless medical support throughout the marathon. A dedicated team led by Emergency and Critical Care specialists—including approximately 15 doctors, 25 paramedics, 20 physiotherapists, and additional support staff—was deployed across the event. The team provided advanced cardiac and neuro care at JLN Medical Centre and covered the entire marathon route with 7 ambulances and 5 medical bikes, all equipped with primary medical aid. Nearly 150 participants received immediate medical attention at the medical station, while many more were assisted by ambulance and bike teams along the route. In addition to treating cases of acute dehydration and severe muscle cramps, the team effectively managed seizures, cardiac emergencies, and major injuries, ensuring runners’ well-being throughout the event.
