Mumbai, Dec 30: Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Bengaluru, a pioneering institution in advanced eye care, in collaboration with the Karnataka Ophthalmology Society (KOS) and the Bangalore Ophthalmology Society (BOS), has announced the Phaco Festival 2026, one of India’s most prominent and highly regarded international ophthalmology conferences.
The three-day immersive conference, scheduled from January 16 to 18, 2026, will be held at Nethradhama Hospitals and Conrad Bengaluru and will revolve around the theme “Ophthalmic Innovation and Surgical Excellence.” Since its inception in 2001, Phaco Festival has evolved into a benchmark forum for advanced surgical training and continuing ophthalmic education, offering ophthalmologists worldwide a structured platform for skill enhancement and exposure to emerging technologies.
The 10th edition of this flagship biennial conference is set to bring together national and international experts, serving as a leading platform for ophthalmic innovation, surgical skill development, and global clinical collaboration.
Phaco Festival 2026 will deliver a comprehensive and immersive academic experience featuring 3D deferred live surgeries, wetlabs, drylabs, masterclasses, upskilling courses, clinical debates, and case-based learning sessions, led by acclaimed faculty from India and abroad. The conference integrates hospital-based hands-on training with conference-led scientific sessions, reinforcing capacity building and surgical excellence in ophthalmic care.
A dedicated technology showcase will host leading ophthalmic device manufacturers, IOL innovators, laser technology companies, and digital workflow solution providers. This platform will also witness the debut of cutting-edge innovations expected to shape the future of ophthalmic surgical practice.
